Valve has developed what we think is the best game deal ever with The Orange Box, which includes five whole games packaged together for the price of one. Half Life 2, Half Life 2 Episode 1, and Half Life 2 Episode 2, are the greatest first person shooters ever made. Now you can get these three awesome games plus Portal and Team Fortress 2 in the same orange box.
If you have never played the Half Life 2 series, you are missing out. The storyline for Half Life is very detailed so that you constantly feel that you are on a focused mission, but the game is balanced with the very intense action that makes this the very best first person shooter for the Xbox 360. There is a variety of weapons to choose from, and the aiming is right on, even zoomed at long distances, putting your skills in charge of whether you hit or miss. The controls and movement also feel very natural, and you are free to jump and crawl to get to hard to find places in every map. And many times throughout the game, the creepy visuals and sound effects can draw you in for the big scare that may almost knock the controller right out of your hand.
There are several days of game play in these first three games alone. But The Orange Box also includes Portal which is in a Half Life setting, but where the maps play out as puzzles which are solved using a new gun that can open entry and exit portals on the walls, floors, and ceilings. (See the video reviews below for a demonstration of this new portal device.) In addition, The Orange Box gives you limitless online play with Team Fortress 2 which allows up to 16 players to duke it out with a huge assortment of weaponry and downloadable maps.
If you like first person shooters, then this is one packaged deal that you do not want to miss out on. These five award winning games can at most times be bought together online for less than fifteen dollars as you can see in the listings below. That makes The Orange Box the gamers deal of the decade, and therefore we give The Orange Box a rating of 9.6.

Video games - Games of the decade
It's stunning to think where games have gone in the last decade; more so where you think they'll go in the future. This list is a bit of a dog's breakfast, with some wonderful stand-alone games, but more games that were trailblazers and games that changed how we play.
